Police: Man admits to killing friend in self-defense following argument
Police said a man accused of killing his friend inside a Greenfield home confessed to the crime but said it was in self-defense.
Authorities said Michael Randolph admitted to killing his friend and roommate Mark Senay on Jan. 2 inside their Bristol Street home.
According to police, Randolph said he and Senay had been friends for years and in early December they moved in together.
On Jan. 2 Randolph claims he and Senay argued over how loud a stereo was playing. The fight turned physical and Randolph said Senay threatened to throw him out and grabbed a gun.
Randolph told police he wrestled the gun away from Senay and fired a single shot.
Officials didn’t find Senay’s body for four days. Randolph did not comment on why he didn’t tell anyone about the shooting.
Authorities said Randolph also picked up the shell casings before leaving the home.
